Overview:
SAP APO stands for Advanced Planner Optimizer, and is used to plan and execute company's supply chain process. It is also known as APS (Advance Planning and Scheduling) tool. SAP APO is a key component of SAP and forms a technical foundation for many SAP modules. It is a set of software applications from the German-based software company SAP for supply chain management.

Training Objectives of SAP APO:
APO offers planning and optimization functionalities in different business processes in an effective manner. According to SAP literature, Advanced Planner and Optimizer are designed to help a company improve production planning, pricing, scheduling, and product shipping. It is used to plan and execute a company’s supply chain process. It has a set of software applications designed to help a company improve production planning, scheduling and product shipping by getting real-time updates from retailers about customer demand. It is not a standalone application and requires a backend ERP system such as SAP R/3 for the execution.
